Micron Technology seeks an experienced, business‑facing attorney to join its Legal Department as a senior IP licensing attorney. The role is based onsite in Boise, Idaho or San Jose, California, partnering with engineering and business teams to manage complex IP transactions while protecting Micron’s IP assets.

You will structure licensing deals, lead negotiations, advise on government contracts, and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from ABA‑accredited law school with bar in good standing.
• At least seven years drafting and negotiating complex IP licensing agreements.
• Experience advising engineering and business teams on IP and technology transactions.
• Strong ethics, integrity, and professional judgment.

Responsabilités

• Provide pragmatic legal advice to technology and business teams.
• Serve as trusted advisor on IP and technology licensing engagements.
• Structure and lead negotiations of licensing transactions across R&D to manufacturing.
• Draft and negotiate technology/IP agreements (licensing, joint development, transfers).
• Advise on government contracts, grants, and government-funded programs.
• Support due diligence and IP agreements in M&A contexts.
• Balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Help develop corporate policies on open source, data security, and compliance.
