Job summary

Crusoe is seeking an Intellectual Property Counsel to lead its IP function and scale the IP team. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Business Development to protect Crusoe's innovations in AI infrastructure, cloud computing, and clean energy.

The role requires a J.D., active U.S. bar membership, 8–12+ years of IP experience, and a technical CS/EE background; USPTO registration is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• 8–12+ years of IP legal experience (top-tier firm and in-house preferred).
• USPTO registration (patent bar) strongly preferred.
• Degree or coursework in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical discipline strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute patent strategy and portfolio management.
• Lead IP due diligence, transactions, licensing, and commercialization.
• Advise on AI, machine learning, and emerging technology IP issues.
• Manage open source governance, trade secret protection, and trademark portfolios.
