Job summary

BrightAI Inc. seeks an experienced Senior/Staff Embedded Test Engineer to validate end-to-end IoT connectivity, security, and reliability across edge devices, firmware, and cloud platforms.

You will design automated edge-to-cloud test setups, simulate real-world conditions, and optimize battery life while integrating tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines. Strong emphasis on RF, protocols, and secure OTA testing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in embedded QA, with at least 5 years focused on connected IoT products.
• Proven testing/deployment of smart home, IIoT, or wearable devices.

Responsibilities

• Edge-to-Cloud validation across the IoT data path from sensors to cloud databases and user apps.
• Set up network test benches to simulate varying conditions and connectivity.
• Conduct fleet-scale tests to evaluate cloud infrastructure under bursts.
• Build and maintain automated HIL test rigs for continuous testing.
• Automate verification of cloud APIs and integrate tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate RF/wireless performance across BLE, Wi‑Fi, LoRaWAN, and Cellular.
• Intercept and analyze network traffic (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, Protobuf) with Wireshark.
• Measure battery life across active transmission and sleep modes to meet targets.
