Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive greenfield IoT cloud solutions. You will design cloud-native systems with 24/7 availability, leverage IaC, and use Azure serverless to scale efficiently. The role requires hands-on work in TypeScript, React frontend, and NestJS backend, plus implementing automated tests and secure rollbacks.

You will collaborate across teams, translate business needs into architecture, and travel up to 1 week per quarter to St. Louis or Atlanta.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in software development across multiple languages (TypeScript, C#, HTML, XAML, PowerShell, SQL, Swift, etc.)
• Experience deploying software on a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Comfortable using automation for development, testing, and deployment of software products
• Enjoys paired programming and can teach Agile ideas
• Can translate business requirements into design and has shipped at least one commercially used software product
• Willing to travel to St. Louis or Atlanta for up to 1 week per quarter (company-paid)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions with 24/7 availability using IaC practices
• Use serverless computing on Azure to optimize scalability and cost-efficiency
• Build modern software applications with TypeScript; React frontend and NestJS backend
• Create automated unit and behavioral tests for reliability and quality
• Implement production code daily with secure rollback mechanisms
• Develop APIs and protocols for integration with websites, partners, mobile apps, and IoT devices
