Copeland seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead low-power, connected firmware for next-gen IoT devices. You will architect secure embedded software bridging edge hardware with cloud services and work across hardware, systems, and cloud teams from bring-up to mass production.

The role focuses on C/C++ firmware for resource-constrained MCUs, wireless connectivity, device drivers, OTA updates, MISRA C standards, and rigorous testing practices in a fast-paced climate tech environment.

Competenze

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience: 5+ years developing embedded C/C++ firmware for IoT/edge devices.
• RTOS Expertise: Experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX or similar.
• Protocol Proficiency: Wireless tech and secure communication standards.
• Hardware Debugging: Proficient with lab equipment and debugging tools.
• Tooling & Version Control: Git, CMake/Make, GCC, CI/CD, static analysis.

Mansioni

• Design, code, and maintain production-grade C/C++ firmware for microcontrollers.
• Implement low-power wireless stacks (Wi‑Fi, BLE, Cellular, Thread/Zigbee, MQTT/CoAP/HTTP).
• Develop device drivers and support board bring-up with hardware teams.
• Optimize power consumption for edge devices.
• Implement secure boot, TLS, OTA updates, and hardware root-of-trust.
• Use RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr/embedded Linux) and perform HIL testing.
