Job summary

Gusto seeks a Mobile iOS Engineer to own the foundation of our iOS apps, scaling shared services and pushing modern mobile architecture. You’ll partner with Product, Identity, Security, and Infra teams to build scalable solutions that power a broad mobile platform used by 1M+ monthly active users.

You will enhance infrastructure, testing, and release processes, and mentor teammates while delivering high-quality features across the product stack.

Qualifications

10+ years of Swift/iOS experience; 12+ years in mobile software engineering overall.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proven ability to tackle greenfield projects and mentor others.

Responsibilities

Architect, build, test, and refine Gusto’s iOS app with embedded mobile web views.
Leverage AI agents to deliver high-quality output quickly.
Advocate for best practices in architecture and process.
Maintain iOS infrastructure including build pipelines and release processes.
Scale foundational services like push notifications and localization.
Develop features integrating core business tools and financial products.
Collaborate with product, design, identity, security, and infra teams to prototype and launch solutions.
