Job summary

IAA seeks a Staff Engineer to lead our mobile app, the primary touchpoint for buyers across North America. You will set iOS standards, guide architecture, and mentor a distributed iOS team while collaborating with product managers and backend .NET teams.

You will own the CI/CD process, improve observability, and drive secure coding practices to deliver revenue-impacting features and a high-quality user experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional iOS engineering experience
• Deep expertise in Swift and UIKit
• Experience leading or contributing to UIKit-to-SwiftUI migration
• Own CI/CD pipelines for iOS and full release lifecycle
• Mentor engineers across time zones and experience levels

Responsibilities

• Lead the iOS architectural roadmap and set production-ready standards
• Define and enforce iOS engineering standards and release processes
• Own the CI/CD pipeline for iOS, testing, signing, and App Store releases
• Improve observability with crash analytics and performance monitoring
• Drive security hardening: keys, secrets, audits, secure coding
• Design integrations with push notifications and deep links
• Collaborate with backend/BFF teams to align mobile needs with APIs
• Partner with product/design on mobile-focused backlog
• Support production incidents and hotfix releases
