NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital seeks an Intraoperative Monitoring Technician II (IOM) for days at our Cornell Campus. The role emphasizes complex IONM procedures, including EP, EEG, NCV, and 75% of time in intraoperative monitoring, working across inpatient, outpatient, and OR settings.

The ideal candidate holds CNIM ABRET certification, a BA/BS in a relevant field, and BLS, with strong communication and teamwork to support surgeons and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• CNIM ABRET certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs IONM procedures independently including EP, EEG and NCV.
• Measures and marks recording sites, applies electrodes, obtains baseline recordings.
• Identifies patient, surgeon and procedure type; communicates monitoring plan to patient/family.
• Informs patients about testing procedures and addresses questions/concerns.
• Prepares patient and equipment; keeps equipment in working order and arranges repairs.
• Monitors tracings, annotates records with clinical observations, informs physician of issues.
