Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an Intraoperative Monitoring/Neurophysiology Technician IV to join the Columbia University Irving Medical Center team in New York, NY. This full-time mid-day shift runs 11:00 am to 7:00 pm with on-call and weekend coverage.

You will set up OR monitoring, apply electrodes under sterile conditions, and collaborate with neurosurgery, orthopedic, cardiac and vascular colleagues. Location is at our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited electroneurodiagnostic technology training program (CAAHEP).
• Two years college.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) by ABRET.
• 3–5 years experience performing EEG and/or EP.
• Knowledge of applicable computer operating systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Set up patient for Operating Room monitoring with minimal supervision.
• Perform electrode application in an anesthetized patient.
• Collaborate with Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Cardiac and Vascular teams.
• Conduct electrode application using needle electrodes for intraoperative stimulation and recording.
