Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; five years of investment stewardship experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven track record of implementing custom proxy voting policies, reporting outcomes, and recommending enhancements.
• Broad knowledge of investment instruments, processes, data, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage time, commitments, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software, proxy voting and ESG data platforms.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PERA's investment stewardship initiatives and communications.
• Manage PERA's proxy voting program and analyze complex voting decisions.
• Monitor ballots and vote instructions daily; escalate issues as needed.
• Produce reports and summaries of voting activity and governance trends.
• Maintain policy documents and recommend procedural/tech enhancements.
• Maintain records of proposals, votes, research, and engagement activities.
• Evaluate stewardship vendors and platforms for cost-effective processes.
• Provide guidance and training to staff; offer coaching as needed.
• Engage with portfolio companies and investment management partners.
• Conduct stewardship research on legislative and regulatory developments.
