Job summary

Clarendon Partners, LLC is seeking an Investment Operations Consultant (Public & Private Credit) with 7+ years of experience to lead investment operations and technology initiatives for credit-focused clients. You will serve as a senior liaison between executive stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors, driving end-to-end delivery across complex programs.

You will guide requirements, design, build, test and deployment, while managing risks, dependencies, and cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in consulting and/or investment operations.
• Deep expertise in middle/back office workflows within asset management.
• Strong track record delivering system implementations or transformation initiatives.
• Advanced data analysis capabilities (data modeling, reconciliation, lineage).
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and vendor teams.
• Executive-level communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex project details into clear updates for senior audiences.
• Strong executive presence, professional polish, and comfort leading discussions with client leadership.
• Ability to understand project context, connect workstream activities to broader business objectives, and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and decision needs.
• Proven ability to manage vendors and complex delivery dependencies.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering workshops and translate business needs into functional designs.
• Own end-to-end delivery across the implementation lifecycle (design build test deploy).
• Engage senior stakeholders to clarify objectives, surface risks, drive decisions, and maintain alignment across teams.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level updates, including status, risks, dependencies, recommendations, and decisions.
• Manage vendor relationships and system integration efforts.
• Oversee testing strategy, execution, and defect management.
• Drive issue resolution, escalation, and stakeholder alignment.
• Guide data implementation efforts including source-to-target mapping, migration validation, reconciliations, lineage, and control considerations.
• Advise on target operating model design across middle/back office functions, including roles, handoffs, controls, and BAU ownership.
• Support readiness planning, user adoption, training coordination, and transition-to-BAU activities.
• Mentor junior team members and provide quality assurance on deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and system capabilities.
