Job summary

The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is seeking an experienced investment operations professional to lead investment data governance, security master operations, and related controls in a hybrid NYC setting. You will partner with investment, operations, accounting, and technology teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and data quality across front, middle, and back offices.

Responsibilities include establishing governance standards, onboarding new products, resolving data quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in investment operations or related areas.
• Leadership experience with oversight and staff development.
• Strong understanding of investment products and capital markets.
• Experience with controls, reconciliations, governance, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate across business and technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security master setup, maintenance, and governance processes.
• Establish data quality controls, monitoring, and governance standards.
• Partner with investment, operations, accounting, and technology teams to onboard new products.
• Investigate and resolve data quality exceptions and discrepancies.
• Lead operational governance activities, metrics, issue management, and root cause analysis.
• Support platform implementations, testing, and business transformation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and strengthen controls.
• Develop and maintain documentation and governance frameworks.
