Allspring Global Investments is seeking an Investment Data Governance and Strategy Lead to oversee the governance, quality, and delivery of investment data across the organization. The role partners with risk, compliance, operations, and technology to prioritize issues and drive timely resolutions.

The position requires substantial experience in data governance within investment services and a proven ability to lead cross-functional forums, with a hybrid work model including in-office presence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in investment data, data governance, or related operations.
• Deep understanding of securities, pricing, valuation, reference data, and investment product data.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional governance forums and stakeholder groups.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and process improvement skills.
• Experience with data management tools such as Bloomberg, Excel, SQL, VBA, Python, PowerApps.

Responsibilities

• Lead Investment Data Council with agenda setting, decisions, and documentation.
• Collaborate with business, investment, risk, and technology teams to prioritize data issues.
• Govern key data domains: securities, issuers, benchmarks, pricing, valuation, reference data.
• Define data quality standards, validation rules, controls, and escalation paths.
• Oversee data sourcing, validation, and distribution across platforms and vendors.
• Identify and onboard new data sources with market data and business users.
• Streamline data operations using SQL, Python, PowerApps, Excel, and workflows.
• Translate complex data topics into clear business cases and roadmaps for leadership.
