AIG, Inc. is seeking an Investment Accounting professional to lead the monthly and quarterly close for invested assets and ensure accurate sub-ledger reconciliation to the general ledger.

You will support external reporting and disclosures for investments and collaborate with global teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance and at least 3 years of experience in investment accounting, with strong Excel skills and GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting and reporting for investment products.
• Understanding of GAAP and investment-related journal entries.
• Experience with foreign currency remeasurement/translation.
• Strong analytical skills and investment data analysis experience.
• Proficient with Excel, pivot tables, and data analysis.

Responsabilités

• Execute and manage the monthly and quarterly close for invested assets.
• Support preparation of Investment disclosures for 10-Q/K and Financial Supplement.
• Assist with process improvements and new systems in coordination with department.
• Serve as point of contact for business units and corporate controllers.
• Coordinate with organization to understand new investment transactions and record accurately.
• Perform ad-hoc analytical requests.
