Job summary

AIG in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Audit Manager for Investments to lead risk-based internal audits and oversee SOX compliance within the IAG Finance Audit Team. You will partner with Finance leadership to identify control gaps, review complex transactions, and drive improvements while mentoring staff and coordinating with external auditors.

Candidates should have 7+ years in auditing investments, strong leadership, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years in auditing Investments.
• Supervisory/managerial experience leading audit teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and a professional designation (CIA, CPA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP) within 12 months.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and project management skills.
• Experience with data analysis tools and financial services/audit environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based internal audits across investment activities and related financial processes.
• Oversee SOX 404 compliance efforts including control design and remediation tracking.
• Review complex financial transactions, accounting estimates and judgments.
• Drive continuous improvement in controls, processes and governance.
• Supervise and mentor audit staff; coordinate with external auditors on SOX testing.
• Utilize data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency.
