Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in Criminal Justice or related fields.
• Two or more years of civil, administrative, or criminal investigative experience (non-clerical) or as a law enforcement officer responsible for investigations.
• Missouri P.O.S.T. Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and interview victims, witnesses and suspects.
• Compile, analyze, evaluate, and preserve facts, statements, affidavits and other evidence.
• Provide testimony in court and/or administrative proceedings.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with law enforcement, prosecutors and other agencies.
• Travel within a multi-county area to include Jackson and adjacent counties as needed.
• Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; overtime may be necessary.
