Martin/Martin, Inc. in the Larkspur office is seeking a senior-level engineer for its Investigative Engineering Group.

The role focuses on renovation, restoration, retrofit, and repair of existing structures, with projects spanning façade access systems, building envelope assessments, NDT, and expert witness work. You will help expand our California presence, manage multiple small to mid-size projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to client relationships with technical excellence and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
• Minimum of 9 years progressive engineering experience.
• 1 year of professional experience equivalencies include a Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering, OR passing the 16-hour NCEES structural engineering exam.
• Prior experience with ASCE 41 and the International Existing Building Code.
• 5+ years of project management experience, including demonstrated ability to take a project from inception to final completion.
• Must be eligible to work for any employer within the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco Bay Area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities beneficial to the company’s future
• Consistently meets established financial metrics

Responsibilities

• Assists in conceptual design.
• Assists in fee determination and proposal preparation.
• Establishes a QA/QC plan for each project.
• Acts as a mentor for younger engineers and assists with their career development.
• Attends project meetings and represents Martin/Martin, Inc. during design and construction.
• Follows up on collection of account receivables.
