Job summary

Cindavi in Minneapolis area seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design and advance inverter technology for high-performance electric motors used in Formula racing and demanding applications.

The role splits focus between next-generation inverter systems and proven field technology, with work in lab, on dynamometers, and occasionally at customer sites; onsite in Eden Prairie, MN, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics.
• 3–5 years experience; 6–8+ years for senior role.
• Hands-on inverter hardware design experience.
• Willingness to work onsite in Eden Prairie, MN and travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power-density inverters and related power electronics for specialty electric motor systems.
• Own meaningful portions of power-stage and inverter hardware design, analysis, implementation, and improvement.
• Test and validate systems in our in-house lab using back-to-back motor dynamometers and advanced test infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot fielded units and support rapid iteration during dyno tests, track days, and customer programs.
• Partner closely with software, controls, mechanical, electromagnetic, and project engineering teammates to deliver complete system solutions.
• Help shape next-generation platforms while improving the reliability and performance of existing products.
