Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Inventory & Production Control Specialist to lead inventory accuracy across multiple sites, drive cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and partner with cross-functional teams including BPIS and Finance. Travel up to 25% is required.

The role emphasizes ERP controls (Acumatica), Lean initiatives, and audit readiness. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in inventory with a Bachelor's degree, strong Excel skills, and experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 and FAR/DFARS.

Qualifications

• 8 years of inventory control or inventory accuracy experience in a manufacturing environment with a Bachelor's degree; equivalent experience considered.
• Extensive experience in cycle counting, warehouse operations, manufacturing and planning.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Acumatica experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with barcode and warehouse scanning systems.
• Experience with inventory management and reporting tools.
• Strong knowledge of inventory reconciliation, transaction analysis, and valuation concepts.
• Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills for inventory discrepancies across sites.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and FAR/DFARS in an inventory context.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accuracy metrics and reporting across sites.
• Lead the cycle count program, including ABC classification and scheduling.
• Investigate significant discrepancies; determine root causes and drive CAPAs.
• Monitor inventory health trends and identify risks to integrity.
• Plan and lead annual physical inventories across multiple sites.
• Reconcile physical inventory results and prepare documentation for Finance and auditors.
• Review ERP transaction history to investigate unusual adjustments.
• Guide cross-site collaboration with Warehouse, Manufacturing, and Planning.
• Serve as a key resource for ERP inventory controls (Acumatica preferred).
• Monitor transaction integrity and resolve process deviations.
• Develop inventory dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership.
• Partner with BPIS on testing, upgrades, and automation.
• Lead support for audits including AS9100, ISO 9001, FAR/DFARS.
• Own lot, serial, and traceability documentation standards across sites.
• Prepare inventory documentation for audits and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and reduce adjustments across sites.
• Develop standardized inventory procedures and work instructions.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement in inventory processes.
