Job summary

OraSure Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to own inventory accounting, costing, and financial reporting.

You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure inventory integrity, analyze cost drivers, support the monthly close, and provide audit-ready documentation. The role requires a bachelor's in accounting/finance and at least five years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, with strong Excel and SAP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, inventory valuation, and costing concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; SAP experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting and month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain standard costs, BOMs, routings, and overhead rates in the ERP system.
• Analyze variances in purchase price, material usage, labor, and overhead.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to GL and resolve differences.
• Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and adjustments.
• Prepare inventory reserves and related valuation adjustments under U.S. GAAP.
