Job summary

OraSure Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to own inventory accounting, costing, and related month‑end close activities. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Finance to maintain inventory integrity and provide decision support.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, strong GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. Hybrid work arrangements and travel within Bethlehem area are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger, inventory valuation, and costing concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with an ERP system; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting and month-end close activities with journals, reconciliations, rollforwards, and schedules.
• Maintain and review standard costs, bills of materials, routings, and overhead rates in the ERP.
• Analyze variances in inventory-related costs and communicate findings and actions.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and resolve material differences.
• Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and related adjustments.
• Prepare inventory reserves and ensure compliance with policy and U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries and complex balance sheet reconciliations with audit-ready support.
• Support COGS and gross-margin reporting through variance analysis.
