Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. in Dallas seeks an Accountant/Senior Accountant to manage inventory financial records, ensure GAAP compliance, and support audits. You will analyze data, reconcile sub-ledgers, and assist in month-end close.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 4–6 years of experience; CPA is a plus but not required. Strong Excel skills and integrity are essential for accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Records necessary journal entries and transactions to maintain accurate inventory valuation.
• Maintains and reconciles the inventory subledger to the general ledger.
• Provide documentation and assistance during internal and external financial audits.
• Support month-end closing process and ensure deadlines are met.
• Compiles, analyzes, calculates cost data, and standard cost for finished goods.
• Records and reviews cost of goods sold transactions to ensure appropriate recognition.
• Reconciles and researches excessive variance issues and determining causes.
• Verifies that statistical and financial reports are accurate and in compliance.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
