Job summary

Dal-Tile seeks a Manager of Inventory Accounting to lead inventory accounting across the organization, ensuring accurate valuation, reporting, controls, and GAAP compliance. This role oversees costing, reserves, month-end close, and related internal controls.

You will problem-solve inventory system issues with IT and operations, and manage intercompany AP flow for finished goods while driving process improvements. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 2+ years leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Experience in manufacturing, inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics/JD Edwards).
• CPA certification or public accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and development for the inventory accounting team.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation per US GAAP.
• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities.
• Review inventory reserves for excess, obsolete, slow-moving, damaged inventory.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of inventory controls and reporting.
• Collaborate with operations and IT to fix inventory system issues.
• Oversee intercompany AP flow for finished goods.
