Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an inventory clerk to compile and maintain records of material and supplies, verify counts, and post totals to inventory records under direct supervision. You will inspect returns, manage quality checks on produce, and support receiving, storage, and internal audits.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, timely communication with drivers and vendors, and adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 Months of Accounting, Inventory accounting admin support or related area.
• Preferred Education: Accounting related courses.
• Preferred Experience: 1-2 Years in accounting/inventory admin support or related area.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties efficiently to reduce spoilage and positively contribute to profit margin.
• Check quality of produce and ensure poor quality product is removed before any customer purchases.
• Maintain appropriate inventory level on a daily basis.
• Sort through pallets for bad product.
• Repack produce in a timely and efficient manner to reduce spoilage and lost inventory.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
