Job summary

Wayfair in Denver is seeking a Senior Specialist of Inventory Control to help our retail operations run smoothly by resolving receiving exceptions, improving inventory accuracy, and supporting store teams across a growing regional network. You will ensure products flow from our fulfillment centers to stores, contributing to operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of inventory control or related experience in retail or fulfillment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and propose actionable solutions.
• Experience training and coaching store teams and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Suite) or Microsoft Office and inventory tools.
• High attention to detail with the ability to spot trends and discrepancies.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Resolve inbound exceptions quickly to keep inventory sellable.
• Serve as SME for exception processes and provide training.
• Analyze inventory trends and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with fulfillment centers, P&A teams, Field Ops, and partners.
• Review weekly inventory metrics and present insights to leadership.
• Conduct targeted cycle counts and support audits.
• Oversee adjustments and daily tickets in Tangerine and escalate as needed.
• Cross-train across store functions to support peak periods.
