Job summary

Wayfair is seeking a Senior Specialist of Inventory Control to resolve inbound exceptions, improve accuracy, and support stores across a growing regional network. You will act as SME for exceptions, train store teams, analyze trends, and partner with FCs and Field Ops to minimize discrepancies and optimize inventory flow.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, scalability of processes, and collaboration across multiple teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of inventory control or troubleshooting in retail or fulfillment.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Experience coaching store teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office and inventory tools.
• Attention to discrepancies and accuracy in data and processes.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Resolve inbound exceptions to keep inventory sellable and available.
• Serve as SME for inbound exceptions; train store teams across locations.
• Analyze receiving trends and drive improvements for store accuracy.
• Collaborate with fulfillment centers, Field Ops, and partners to reduce issues.
• Review weekly inventory metrics and advise leadership on actions.
• Conduct targeted cycle counts tied to discrepancies and seasonality.
• Support bi-annual audits and BOH cycle counts for compliance.
• Manage adjustments and daily tickets in Tangerine; escalate as needed.
• Work as one team across store functions to meet goals.
