Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage backroom operations, ensure inventory integrity, and execute vendor receiving with accuracy. You will align daily tasks with SOPs and store compliance, driving efficiency in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Key responsibilities include monitoring days-on-hand targets, maintaining beverage inventory records, and collaborating with managers to optimize deliveries and product availability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• 1–2 years of experience coordinating teams.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with department managers to oversee inbound/outbound deliveries and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain days-on-hand inventory targets.
• Maintain beer, wine, and spirits inventory records and compliance.
• Enforce store receiving protocols and backroom access control.
• Verify deliveries, truck seals, and electronic invoices for accurate processing and credits.
• Partner with distribution and merchandising teams to resolve discrepancies.
