Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 3-4 years inventory and accounting background, concentration in data analytics and reporting.
• Retail experience with shortage focus strongly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Passion for data, analytics and pushing business innovation.
• Understanding of business, accounting and inventory policies as it relates to Retail Shortage.
• Demonstrated understanding of the inventory flow and inventory accounting policies.
• Skilled at financial analysis, recognizing trends and communicating results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with emphasis on strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with multiple levels of management and in cross-functional environments.
• Proven ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to drive projects to completion.
• Ability to adapt to changing business environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong PowerPoint skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for clear and accurate presentation of results and recommendations to management following each inventory, including key metrics, changes in performance and key findings.
• Coordinate Physical Inventory Reconciliations and analysis in addition to coordinating timing, execution and reporting of physical inventory.
• Provide shrink reporting and analytics to Executive team and business partners.
• Develop and maintain partner relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders (IT, Shortage Control, Asset Protection, Merchandising, Finance, DC, Logistics, etc.).
• Seek out process efficiencies and improvements.
• Create Value-added reporting including KPI’s and Monthly Reporting Metrics.
• Propose new ideas and opportunities for reducing shortage based on performance trends and industry developments.
• Stay up to date on industry trends in shortage.
• Demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them to daily functions.
• Collaboratively work with other business partners.
