Job summary

Storage Solutions in Atlanta, GA seeks a Senior Automation Project Manager to independently drive intralogistics deployments from contract signing to system acceptance. You will coordinate engineering, purchasing, and external partners to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires leadership in project coordination, risk assessment, and documentation, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Travel and site activities are expected as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, IT or industrial engineering with a focus on materials handling technology/logistics or comparable education is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in a project management role, ideally as a general contractor (m/f).
• Knowledge in logistics, materials handling technology, automated warehouse technology, control technology and IT for material flow systems.
• Extensive experience implementing turnkey materials handling and warehouse technology or sub-areas.
• Expert use of MS Office (especially MS Project and Excel).
• Can read CAD drawings developed by the team.
• Fluent spoken and written English (conversational).

Responsibilities

• Owns the implementation of automated logistics systems with rack operating equipment and warehouse control.
• Allocates subcontractors with Purchasing.
• Acts as interface between customer and internal/external partners/suppliers.
• Coordinates all functions in the project.
• Maintains an updated project schedule.
• Provides weekly and monthly reports to stakeholders.
• Transfers projects from planning/design to operations and after sales.
• Prepares and clarifies the scope of supply and services.
• Participates in IT requirements discussions.
• Maintains updated working drawings and documentation.
• Acts as main point of contact for customers and partners at the construction site.
• Ensures quality, cost and schedule adherence.
• Generates risk assessments and supports commissioning and contract management.
• Oversees documentation and acceptance processes and handover to After Sales Service.
