Job summary

Affordable Care, LLC seeks a Senior Analyst in Internal Controls to ensure accurate cash flow between patient payments, the PMS, banks, and the general ledger. You will lead investigations into deposit irregularities and coordinate with the insurance claims team, Legal, and HR to resolve issues promptly, while preserving evidence and maintaining proper custody.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting or related fields, advanced Excel skills, and experience with audits and cross-department

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years in accounting, internal audit, forensic accounting, bank reconciliation or cash controls.
• Fluency in a practice management or similar patient billing system (Dentrix a plus).
• Advanced Excel and comfort with large data sets.
• Experience managing investigations from start to finish, including keeping a case file and briefing leadership.
• Experience working directly with Legal and HR on sensitive matters, and with insurance claims or a similar payer team.
• Clear writing. Your documentation has to survive scrutiny from lawyers and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Trace deposits end to end. Match PMS collections to bank deposits and to the general ledger, explaining gaps and timing differences.
• Investigate irregularities: missing, short, delayed, duplicate, or misapplied deposits and related issues.
• Read the PMS audit trail and tie activity to clinical notes, financing partners, card processors and insurance payments.
• Review completed bank reconciliations for unusual activity and control weaknesses.
• Manage investigations: scope, assign, track work, preserve evidence, quantify exposure, brief leadership.
