Job summary

VTG Defense is seeking a Communications Officer in McLean, VA to lead internal communications, content development, and digital strategy. You will craft messages for all-hands, summarize weekly topics, and coordinate across designers and technical teams to keep content accurate and engaging.

The role requires TS/SCI with poly, a Bachelor's degree (or 10+ years experience), and strong writing, editing, and project management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years of relevant communications experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develop and distribute internal communications aligned with strategic messaging.
Draft and publish workforce messages for All Hands and events.
Gather and summarize topics for the weekly workforce newsletter.
Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and technical teams on digital content.
Create and publish web pages and newsletters that are visually appealing and accessible.
Ensure compliance with Section 508, GDPR, and related standards.
Identify and resolve website issues, coordinating with IT and vendors.
Update web text, images, videos, and multimedia content.
Provide editorial quality control and support mass email distribution.
Develop and deploy new communication strategies with stakeholders.
Act as a technical liaison between users, managers, and developers.
