Job summary

Ingredion is hiring a Senior Internal Auditor in Westchester, IL for hybrid work. You will lead risk-based assurance across financial, operational, and technology processes, guiding a team and coordinating with process owners to deliver actionable insights.

The role emphasizes data analytics, IT controls, and adherence to IIA standards. Expect travel of 20–25% and collaboration with a global internal audit team while shaping governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or internal auditing with lead engagement experience.
• Professional certification or progress towards CPA/CIA; CISA/CFE/CRMA or data analytics credential a plus.
• Knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau); analytics tools (Alteryx, SQL, Python) a plus.
• English proficiency; Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.
• Willingness to travel 20-25% incl. international travel.

Responsibilities

• Leading engagement planning and approval by Internal Audit leadership.
• Supervising staff auditors and co-sourced resources to ensure quality workpapers.
• Evaluating design and operating effectiveness of financial, operational, compliance, and IT controls.
• Ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.
• Partnering with data team for analytics and continuous monitoring.
• Preparing audit workpapers and flowcharts to support conclusions.
• Developing findings and actionable management recommendations.
• Building partnerships with stakeholders and Global Internal Audit team.
• Leading special projects, advisory engagements, and investigations.
