Job summary

Ingredion seeks an Internal Auditor to support risk-based engagements across global operations in a hybrid Westchester, IL setting. You will plan audits, perform fieldwork, and test controls for inventory, cost accounting, procurement, logistics, and capital projects.

You will use Power BI and AI-assisted approaches to uncover trends, communicate findings, and collaborate with global stakeholders while maintaining independence and objectivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in public accounting or internal auditing, finance, or business operations; manufacturing/CPG experience a plus.
• Professional certification (CIA/CPA/CMA/CISA) preferred or progress toward one.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio) and able to use audit analytics and AI-enabled tools.
• English proficiency required; Spanish/Portuguese a plus.
• Willingness to travel ~25% including international travel.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of IIA Standards, COSO, and SOX 404 is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk-based engagement planning and process walkthroughs.
• Execute audit procedures with professional skepticism and gather evidence.
• Conduct HQ, SSC audits and site visits at manufacturing facilities (inventory, cost accounting, procurement, logistics, capital projects).
• Leverage data analytics and AI tools (Power BI, CoPilot) to identify trends and high-risk items.
• Prepare workpapers, process flows, and risk/control matrices.
• Evaluate design and effectiveness of key controls for accurate transactions.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and partners.
• Support internal audit advisory engagements and ad hoc reviews.
• Monitor timely implementation of management action plans.
