Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking an Internal Auditor to perform risk-based operational, financial, and compliance audits across global manufacturing, supply chain, and corporate operations. The role focuses on control testing, data analytics, and collaboration with stakeholders to improve governance and risk management.

The candidate will conduct process walkthroughs, develop test procedures, and report findings while upholding internal audit standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in public accounting and/or internal auditing, finance, or business operations; manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience a plus.
• CIA/CPA/CMA/CISA preferred; progress toward certification acceptable.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and audit analytics/AI-enabled tools.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• English proficiency; Spanish/Portuguese a plus.
• Ability to travel 25% including international travel at least once per year.
• Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems a plus.
• Familiarity with IIA Global Internal Audit Standards, COSO 2013, and SOX 404 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Risk-based engagement planning, process walkthroughs and work program development.
• Executing audit procedures with professional skepticism and collecting sufficient evidence.
• Performing HQ, SSC audits and site visits at manufacturing facilities.
• Leveraging data analytics and AI-assisted techniques to identify trends and high-risk items.
• Preparing workpapers, process flows, and risk/control matrices.
• Evaluating design and effectiveness of key controls; ensuring complete and accurate processing.
• Communicating findings clearly to stakeholders; maintaining independence and objectivity.
• Monitoring timely implementation of management action plans.
