Job summary

Nannette Brown Design is seeking a Senior Interiors Architect / Architectural Designer to lead a major New York headquarters project, coordinating with the Architect of Record, engineers and interior design team.

The ideal candidate has licensure preferred, deep experience with large-scale commercial or hospitality projects, and a strong command of interior architecture from concept to construction, including millwork, lighting and detailing.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of professional architecture and/or interior architecture experience.
• Experience with large-scale commercial, workplace, hospitality or design-driven environments.
• Ability to lead design development, documentation and construction coordination.
• Strong command of materials, millwork, lighting and detailing.
• Licensure preferred; significant experience may substitute.
• Excellent communication and coordination across architects, engineers and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural and interior architectural design development from concept through construction.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, RCPs and drawing packages.
• Coordinate with Architect of Record, engineers and interior design team.
• Design and detail custom millwork, lighting and built-ins.
• Develop lighting layouts and coordinate with electrical engineers.
• Review drawings and submittals for coordination and design intent.
• Participate in site meetings and construction phase reviews.
• Maintain organized documentation and coordination systems for a complex project.
