IA Interior Architects, a leading interiors-focused firm, seeks a Senior Designer for its New York studio. You will lead all interior design phases, set the project vision, guide the design team, and manage extensive client interactions. Strong space planning, detailing, and budget oversight are essential.

Qualifications include architecture/design degree and 8+ years of corporate interiors experience. Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Suite, Affinity, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of architecture or design school; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 8+ years of corporate interior design project experience.
• Strong leadership and client interaction abilities.

Responsabilités

• Develops overall design for project
• Directs staff to complete design and technical drawing
• Reviews design and technical drawing of junior designers
• Reviews engineering drawings for design compliance
• Collaborates with technical staff to resolve drawing discrepancies
• Selects fixtures and finishes for projects
• Obtains client approvals and integrates into design
• Produces and finalizes space plans
• Develops and delivers design and furniture packages
• Reviews final cost estimates
• Assists with field surveys when needed
• Manages overall design budget
• Monitors budget adherence and flags variances
• Oversees staff and provides feedback
• Conducts client interviews to determine space needs
• Provides information to clients on design specs; uses Affinity tool
