Job summary

Nannette Brown is seeking a Senior Interiors Architect / Architectural Designer to lead a major New York headquarters project, from concept to construction. The ideal candidate blends architectural detail with interior scale, coordinating with the project team and consultants.

Licensed architects are preferred; deep experience in commercial, hospitality or retail environments is highly valued. Immediate start in an in-office role in New York City with a strong design and technical focus.

Qualifications

• Licensure preferred; significant depth of relevant experience may substitute.
• 8–12+ years of professional architecture and/or interior architecture experience with a strong portfolio.
• Experience on large-scale commercial, hospitality, retail or design-driven environments.
• Ability to lead complex projects through design development, documentation and construction.
• Strong knowledge of materials, millwork, detailing and interior construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural and interior design development from concept through construction.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, details and drawings.
• Resolve large-scale planning, circulation and core/interface conditions.
• Develop complex architectural elements and custom features from concept to detailing.
• Design and detail millwork, built-ins, stone, metal, glass and related features.
• Develop lighting layouts and coordinate with the electrical team.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, life-safety and consultants.
• Integrate interior architecture with FF&E and interior design.
• Coordinate with Architect of Record on code and permitting requirements.
• Review drawings and submittals for coordination and intent.
• Participate in meetings and construction-phase reviews.
• Resolve site conditions while preserving design intent.
• Maintain organized drawing/documentation systems for a large project.
