Job description

Nannette Brown is seeking an exceptional Senior Interior Designer to take a leading role on a major, multi-phase New York headquarters project with an ambitious, highly considered interiors program. This role requires a highly experienced designer with 8–12+ years of experience working on large-scale, complex projects across hospitality, retail, high-end workplace, commercial and/or luxury residential environments. Candidates must have demonstrated experience leading substantial projects and teams and be comfortable working at significant scale, across complex programs, large FF&E scopes and budgets, and multiple concurrent workstreams. Experience in high-end residential design is particularly valued, as it remains an important part of the practice, but must be paired with the experience and technical fluency required to lead a project of this size and complexity. Working directly with Nannette Brown, the Senior Interior Designer will help develop and execute the overall design vision, bringing exceptional taste, strong design and leadership skills, and an architectural sensibility to the project. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone capable of carrying an idea from its earliest research through development, presentation, procurement and final installation. Responsibilities include:

• Lead the end-to-end execution of the interior design vision, from research and concept through procurement and installation
• Lead FF&E design and development, including furniture plans, material palettes, specifications, schedules and budgets
• Develop technically accurate plans, elevations, RCPs, lighting plans and interior details
• Design and detail custom furniture, millwork, built-ins, upholstery and decorative elements through fabrication
• Develop decorative and architectural lighting plans, including fixture selection, placement and specification
• Research and source exceptional contemporary, vintage and custom furniture, lighting, textiles, rugs, art and accessories
