Job summary

Hoffman Construction seeks an Estimator - Interior Systems to support the Hoffman Specialty Contracting team in Portland, OR. This role focuses on detailed quantity takeoffs, self-perform estimates, and collaboration with project teams to ensure accurate, timely bids for cleanroom and manufacturing interiors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum four years of commercial construction estimating experience, preferably in subcontractor/self-perform environments with high bid volume.
• Experience with cleanroom/advanced manufacturing projects is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in OST On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid for complete interior-system estimates.
• Ability to deliver accurate bids under tight deadlines and complex conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed on-screen quantity takeoffs for interior systems including metal framing, drywall, finishes, ceilings, and cleanroom assemblies.
• Develop complete self-perform estimates in Quick Bid and produce competitive bids under compressed timelines.
• Estimate interior systems for cleanroom and manufacturing facilities with coordination to MEP environments.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, addenda, and narratives for rapid bid turnaround across multiple pursuits.
• Establish labor productivity, crew loading, and phasing for cleanroom/advanced manufacturing work.
• Maintain and refine Quick Bid databases, assemblies, labor units, and material pricing.
• Collaborate with operations, project teams, and senior leadership during bid reviews for scope and pricing validation.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and integration into total estimates.
• Assist preconstruction with budget development, constructability reviews, and value engineering.
