Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company seeks a Project Engineer to support Hoffman Specialty Contracting, Inc. (HSC) on an interior specialties package in Amarillo, TX.

You will coordinate with design professionals, clients, vendors and subcontractors to resolve field coordination issues and ensure quality. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commercial construction, interior framing/drywall, and experience with AutoCAD/Revit, Procore, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of experience in commercial construction with metal stud framing, drywall, suspended ceiling systems and interior finishes.
• Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil/structural engineering or construction management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Run meetings with area managers, design team, subcontractors, and clients.
• Interface between managers, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items.
• Interpret design documents and quantify materials for construction.
• Coordinate interior specialty scope with architectural, structural, and MEP elements.
• Distribute RFIs and change documents; assist training for client operations.
• Field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks; onsite technical advisor.
