Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support Hoffman Specialty Contracting, Inc. in Childress, TX.

The role partners with the VP of Operations and project leaders to resolve technical challenges in interior specialties, including framing, drywall, ceilings, and finishes. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commercial construction, strong coordination skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and project-management tools.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of commercial construction experience with metal stud framing, drywall, and interior finishes.
• Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil/structural engineering or construction engineering management, or equivalent field experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings with area managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Coordinate interior specialty scope with architectural and MEP elements.
• Interpret construction documents and quantify materials.
• Coordinate training for client personnel on interior specialty systems.
• Review submittals and coordinate RFIs and change documents.
