Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Interior Designer for our Fort Worth studio to lead interior design efforts within an integrated practice that prioritizes human experience and wellness. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate interior components of project documentation, collaborating with the design team to meet scope, schedule, fees, and budget.

The role emphasizes design leadership, sustainability, and clear communication with project managers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience; K-12, Higher Education, and/or Justice+ Civic projects preferred.
• Professional licensure is required; LEED AP or other green certifications preferred.
• Proficient in Revit and familiar with Bluebeam; strong proficiency in standard A/E/I/P software.
• Demonstrated leadership in applying design techniques, tools, and sustainable principles.
• Strong attention to detail with proactive process improvement and problem-solving.
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual design, program development, and space planning within projects.
• Oversee and ensure quality in construction documents and design details; mentor junior staff.
• Ensure design intent through sustainable materials, FF&E, and product selections; review graphic presentations.
• Attend site visits and construction administration meetings regularly.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to project teams and drive client-facing presentations.
• Guide teams to produce high-quality deliverables and lead design discussions.
