Job summary

DLR Group's Denver office seeks an experienced Interior Designer to join our hybrid team. You will lead interior design efforts, coordinate documentation, and mentor junior staff while collaborating across sectors to deliver high-quality projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Interior Design, 8+ years of experience, and licensure; LEED AP preferred. Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam is expected, with a strong ability to communicate complex ideas to clients and the design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
• Professional licensure required; LEED AP or other green certifications preferred.
• Proficient in Revit and familiar with Bluebeam; strong proficiency in standard A/E/I/P software.
• Demonstrated leadership in applying design techniques to create precise technical plans, drawings, reports, and models.
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual design, program development, and space planning within projects.
• Demonstrate a refined design approach that integrates functionality and spatial performance.
• Oversee construction documents and design details for constructability; mentor junior staff.
• Ensure design intent is realized through materials selection and sustainable commitments.
• Attend site visits and construction administration meetings; share lessons learned with the team.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to support project success and team growth.
• Guide teams to produce high-quality deliverables and communicate design vision to stakeholders.
