Job summary

KAL Architects is seeking a Lead Senior Interior Designer to develop interior design concepts, lead design development and manage construction documents. You will supervise Junior staff, coordinate FF&E, and liaise with clients and vendors to ensure project success.

The role requires NCIDQ certification, a BA in Interior Design/Interior Architecture, 5–8 years of experience with architectural teams, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• NCIDQ Certification required.
• Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design/Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 5–8 years of experience with architectural designers and coordination with other discipline designers.
• Experience with REVIT and AutoCAD; BIM360 experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for project documentation.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Public projects experience, including Federal Government/Military installations.
• No H1-B sponsorship is offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design concepts for client presentations and development.
• Oversee design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
• Direct and supervise Junior Interior Design staff on FF&E planning and documentation.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with manufacturers' representatives and vendors.
• Prepare finishes, materials, and furniture boards to document project selections.
• Create project documents, meeting minutes, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, surveys, and meetings.
