Job summary

Gensler is seeking an ambitious Interior Designer to craft functional, beautiful spaces and lead design teams across projects. You will collaborate with colleagues to elevate design quality, manage programs from programming through construction, and translate client needs into compelling solutions.

A strong background in FF&E, Revit, 3D visualization, and effective communication is expected; NCIDQ or RID certification is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• NCIDQ or RID Certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of interior design experience.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software.
• Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables.
• Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development.
• Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
• Passionate, self-starting, intelligent, dedicated, efficient.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.
• Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, FF&E, color palettes, fabrics and lighting.
• Create initial concept packages with a strong design story guiding the process to project completion.
• Conduct programming through space planning studies to meet client goals.
• Sculpt interior spaces with furniture, finishes, materials, and lighting specifications.
• Lead day-to-day project coordination, prioritizing deadlines and coordinating with clients and consultants.
• Communicate design ideas through 2D and 3D presentation drawings.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulators to meet project objectives.
• Participate in construction administration including submittals review and value engineering.
