Job summary

Gensler in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Interior Designer to craft aesthetically strong and functional spaces. You will lead design teams, mentor talent, and collaborate to elevate project quality while aligning with business goals.

This in-person role requires NCIDQ or RID, a Bachelor’s in Interior Design or related field, and 5+ years of experience. You will use Revit, 3D modeling, and visualization to drive design, coordinating with consultants, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet

Qualifications

• NCIDQ or RID Certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of interior design experience.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software.
• Detailed understanding of FF&E design and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your experience to perform interior design assignments including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.
• Participate in the selection and presentation of FF&E, color palettes, and lighting.
• Create initial concept packages with a strong design story to guide the project through completion.
• Lead space planning studies to meet client goals.
• Sculpt interior spaces with furniture, lighting, artwork, and finishes/materials.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants to meet project objectives.
• Communicate design ideas through 2D and 3D drawings.
• Work with contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to achieve objectives.
• Participate in construction administration and value engineering to maintain design intent.
