Job summary

HOK Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Interior Designer to translate conceptual ideas into practical, high‑impact design for projects in San Francisco.

The role requires space planning, material/surface coordination, and development of 2D/3D drawings, with client presentations and coordination across disciplines. The candidate will bring a Bachelor's in architecture or interior design, 10+ years of interiors experience, and NCIDQ or architectural licensure; NCARB and LEED credentials are

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design or foreign equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience in interiors projects.
• Must be a professional Interior Designer and have passed the NCIDQ exam or be a registered Architect with current license required.
• If registered architect, NCARB registration preferred.
• LEED accreditation or Green Associate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, organize and execute conceptual interior design for projects.
• Conduct space planning, layout, furnishings and equipment planning, lighting and color coordination.
• Coordinate color/material palettes and select furniture, lighting, finishes, and artwork with cost estimates.
• Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions and render 2D/3D presentations.
• Prepare client presentations and develop design documents through schematic and development phases.
• Support construction administration and coordinate with vendors, subs, and other disciplines.
• Mentor staff and participate in recruitment as needed.
• Foster green practices and external/internal client service.
