Job summary

Elizabeth Hales Design seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead interior design from concept to documentation for residential and commercial projects in Salt Lake City. The role requires strong design vision, technical skills, and effective client and team communication.

Ideal candidates will independently manage multiple projects, present design concepts, coordinate with architects and contractors, and ensure documentation and execution meet high standards of quality and detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional interior design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and SketchUp required.
• Solid understanding of interior architecture, space planning, materials, detailing, and construction documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design process from concept through construction and installation.
• Develop cohesive design concepts responsive to architecture, client goals, lifestyle, and vision.
• Establish material palettes, finishes, furnishings, and other interior selections.
• Develop space plans, elevations, and other interior design documentation.
• Produce drawings, specifications, schedules, and presentations.
• Create renderings and mood boards to communicate design intent.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and team members.
• Present concepts and recommendations to clients and project teams.
• Manage project priorities and ensure high design quality and attention to detail.
• Review drawings and submittals for design intent and accuracy.
• Support site visits and construction coordination as needed.
• Proactively identify and solve design or project issues.
