Job summary

Business of Home is seeking a Senior Interior Designer with a sophisticated design point of view, exceptional technical ability, and strong ownership. The role leads complex high-end residential projects from concept through construction and installation.

Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will guide Interior Designers, collaborate closely with clients and trades, and ensure design intent is accurately documented and executed in the field.

Qualifications

• Experience leading high-end residential projects from concept through construction.
• Ability to document drawings, specifications and details accurately.
• Strong collaboration with clients and trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through construction administration and installation.
• Own the accuracy, coordination, and completeness of drawings, specifications, details, schedules, and design documentation.
• Direct and prioritize the work of Interior Designers and review deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Work directly with contractors, architects, electricians, plumbers, millworkers, fabricators, window and door vendors, and other trades.
• Develop sophisticated design concepts, FF&E selections, and client presentations.
• Lead custom millwork and furniture design, detailing, and fabrication coordination.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of applicable codes and construction requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement and project management teams on schedules, budgets, and execution.
• Help evolve studio systems, workflows, and emerging technologies that improve quality and efficiency.
