Job summary

MHTN Architects, based in Salt Lake City, is searching for a creative Interior Designer to enhance their design team. In this intermediate-level position, you will involve yourself in designing and delivering architectural projects with a focus on innovative interiors. The role provides opportunities for collaboration with experienced professionals and allows up to two days of remote work per week.

The ideal candidate has 5 to 9 years of experience and a degree in Interior Design. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401k with employer match and flexible paid time off.

Qualifications

• 5 to 9 years of professional commercial Interior Design experience.
• Degree in Interior Design or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• NCIDQ Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and presentation ideation and creation.
• Plan, design, and furnish interiors for architectural projects.
• Communicate design ideas clearly through sketching and documentation.
• Collaborate with project architects and interdisciplinary teams.
• Conduct site visits during construction phases.

Skills

Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills

Excellent graphic and visualization abilities

Proficiency in Revit

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Proficiency in SketchUp

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Working knowledge of structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering concepts

Familiarity with building materials and codes

Highly organized with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Effective time-management skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
